A decant is exactly what it sounds like: perfume taken from an original, sealed bottle and transferred into a smaller glass atomizer. Nothing is added and nothing is diluted. A 5ml decant gives you roughly 75 sprays, which is enough to wear a fragrance for two or three weeks and know for certain whether it suits you.
We fill every decant by hand from retail bottles, in a clean room, using a fresh needle and a new atomizer for each fragrance. The vial is labelled with the name, the concentration and the size, and it is sealed before it goes into the parcel.
Why start with a decant instead of a full bottle? Because a perfume smells different on paper, on a tester strip in a shop and on your own skin after four hours in Dhaka's humidity. A decant lets you live with a scent before you commit to a bottle that can cost ten times as much.
